Chris Cribari, MD, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in the areas of Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. He is the only Board Certified Vascular Surgeon in Northern Colorado. Dr. Cribari graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed an Internship and a Residency in General Surgery followed by a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Following his training, Dr. Cribari served as a major in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge, he returned to his hometown of Fort Collins to start his surgical practice.
Dr. Cribari is well-published in a number of Medical Journals and is frequently requested to present at Medical Conferences throughout the country. Dr. Cribari currently serves as the American College of Surgeons, Region VIII Chief and is Chief of Trauma Surgery at Poudre Valley Health Systems. John (Jack) Collins, MD, FACS is board certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency in Surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Collins has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine since 1978 and is a Registered Vascular Technologist. Following private practice in Fort Morgan, Colorado, he joined Surgical Specialists of the Rockies in 1997. Sally Parsons, MD, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She graduated from the New Mexico School of Medicine and completed a Residency and Internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. Before joining Surgical Specialists of the Rockies, Dr. Parsons served as Director of the Burn Center at North Colorado Medical Center. She is currently Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in the Division of Plastic Surgery and Burn/General Surgery. Paul Bauling, MD, FACS is a Fellow of the College of Medicine of South Africa and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated with a Medical Masters Degree in General Surgery from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Following graduation, he completed an Internship and Residency at the Pretoria Academic Hospital in South Africa along with an additional Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He then followed with a Fellowship in Organ Transplantation at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Before joining Surgical Specialists of the Rockies in the summer of 2004, Dr. Bauling served as Medical Director for the Burn Center at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and as Burn Surgeon for The Children’s Hospital in Denver.

Sara Smith, MD, originally from Sheridan, Wyoming, is a 2001 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her Surgical Internship and Surgical Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She has successfully completed her qualifying examination
for The American Board of Surgery and her certification is in process.
Dr. Smith recently moved to Fort Collins and joined Surgical Specialists of the Rockies in August of 2006.
